If you’re looking to add some personality to your denim, one way to do so is by cutting holes in your jeans. But if you’re not sure how to go about it, don’t worry – we’re here to help! Read on for a step-by-step guide on how to cut holes in jeans.

Materials
You’ll need a pair of jeans, a pencil, scissors, and an iron. If you want to be extra careful, you can also use a sewing machine to sew the holes shut after you cut them.
Jeans
Denim is a sturdy cotton twill fabric with a rough surface that is usually blue or black. It was originally made for work clothes but is now also used for jeans, skirts, and other clothing. Denim is usually 100% cotton but can also be found in a blend with elastane or polyester.
Scissors
You will need a pair of scissors to cut the holes in your jeans. Choose a sharp pair of scissors so that you can make clean, straight cuts. If you do not have a pair of sharp scissors, you can use a rotary cutter or a craft knife.
Cutting the Holes
There are a few things you need before you get started. You need a sharp pair of scissors, a hole punch, and a marker. You will also need a pair of jeans that you don’t mind cutting holes into. Once you have all of your supplies, you are ready to get started.
Decide where you want the holes

If you accidentally cut the holes too big, don’t worry! You can easily sew them up to make them smaller. First, cut two pieces of fabric that are slightly larger than the hole. Then, place the fabric over the hole and sew it in place. If you want, you can also stitch around the edge of the hole to make it look nicer.

If the holes are too small, you can make them bigger by using a seam ripper or small scissors. Just be careful not to rip or cut the fabric around the hole. If the holes are too big, you can sew them up with a needle and thread.
