Open the document or image you want to copy
Select the text or image you want to copy by dragging your cursor over it. To copy an image, hold down the old “Control” key while you click on it. A menu will pop up. If you just want to copy the image, click “Copy Image.” If you want to copy the image and its URL (the website address where it is located), click “Copy Image and Link.”
Select the text or portion of the image you want to copy
To move text or an image:
1. Select the text or portion of the image you want to copy.
2. Click Edit in the menu bar, then click Copy in the drop-down menu, or press Command-C on your keyboard.
3. Open the document or image into which you want to paste the information, then click Edit in the menu bar, then click Paste in the drop-down menu, or press Command-V on your keyboard.
On your keyboard, press and hold the Command key while you press the C key
Or you can use the Edit menu:
Open the document with the text you want to copy, then choose Edit > Copy.
To see where you copied the text, open a new document, then choose Edit > Paste. The text appears in the new document.

Open the document or image where you want to paste the text or image. To paste in the same document, open it in a new window.
Place your cursor where you want to paste the text or image.
Press and hold “Command-V” on your keyboard.

You can paste text or images that you’ve cut or copied from another location. To paste text or an image:
1. Place your cursor where you want to paste the text or image.
2. Press command + V on your keyboard.
On your keyboard, press and hold the Command key while you press the V key
This shortcut will paste the text you’ve cut or copied from elsewhere. If you just want to paste text without any formatting, you can use the same shortcut while pressing the CONTROL key instead.
